Does the heat of the press affect them?
1. What is it E2TT exactly?
Embroidery To Transfer Technology or Technology to Embroider Transfers.
In short, it is the process that makes it possible to accurately
embroider on an image placed on the garment that was previously
applied by means of a hot press, whose plates are adjusted to
the shape of a standard embroidery hoop. Garments are placed on
the hoop just once, and the pressing process lasts seconds.
2. What advantages can we get with E2TT?
There are many and varied advantages. Each user
can assess the most interesting ones for him/her, according to
the type of work and production size; advantages range from innovation
in designs to saving productive time.
3. Can I use E2TT with multihead embroidery
machines?
Of course; it is only necessary to fit the E2TT machine with a
high quality kit of laser positioning to ensure accuracy among
all designs.
4. Is the preparation process long?
The process is basically formed by the time invested in creating
the embroidery file and, if applied, impression or cutout. The
only physical process added regarding pure embroidery is transfer
on press, and such process lasts a few seconds.
5. Big designs
usually shrink during the embroidery process. How does this affect
the final result?
This effect is completely prevented by using thermoadhesive backing
placed on the hoop together with the garment; however, on many
occasions it is equally valid to perform a previous pressing cycle
before placing the transfer, using standard backing.
6. How can I make
sure that all the designs I will make in my multihead machine
come out identically?
If you seek maximum accuracy, it is necessary to align the hoop
arms of each embroidery head independently, if each head has individual
arms. For this purpose, the same hoop is used with a mark (such
as a needle prick of the same machine) and is passed though all
the heads, adjusting and fixing the arms independently. You only
need to perform this operation once. G
7. For
the application I want, I need to work
with a non-standard hoop. Can you provide me what I need to work
with it?
Yes, to ensure the work you need to send us a sample of the hoop.

8. Can I use an E2TT machine as a normal
transfer machine?
Of course, you can remove the hoop arms, which take seconds, and
use it as a standard transfer machine. It also has different optional
plates at your disposal, and the cylindrical configuration will
prevent problems due to wrinkles and marks on the garment. GO

9. Can I apply E2TT with different types
of hoops?
E2TT machines are designed to change the plates fast and without
tools, to adjust to any hoop.
10. Each time I go to a trade fair, I see
a new material or finish to be applied with
a transfer machine; can I use these to apply embroidered designs
on them?
The great majority of current transfer applications can be used
with the E2TT system and
be embroidered subsequently.
11. Is it a problem to embroider on surfaces
with metal transfers? I may have to change the needles for other
special ones…
According to our experience, it is not necessary to change the
needless at all, even when embroidering on metal transfers.
12. I have an embroidery
machine but I do not have editing software. Is it necessary to
count on this?
It s not essential but it is recommendable to make the most of
this technology. For maximum productivity, use embroidery design
software that can work with vectors interactively.
13. What criteria do I have to take into
account for the embroidery design?
Punching is carried out by working on the background image that
has been transferred, and adding stitches normally. We must take
into account horizontality of the design. For this purpose (in
the case of diffuse designs without evident horizontality) when
we transfer the image to be used for punching for the first time,
we will make a line or two marks to it, which will be properly
scanned and used to put the design on the screen of our computer
horizontally. This same line or these same marks will be useful
later to place the transfer horizontally in our E2TT machine with
the help of the magnetic guide. In fact, it is a very simple process
that is only performed once, because afterwards the lasers shall
show the position of the following transfers.
Regarding the starting point, it must be fixed in a central area
of the design, on a corner or point that is an easy choice for
the embroidery machine as a starting point.
14. How can I accurately adjust the starting
point in the embroidery machine?
To achieve maximum accuracy, it is convenient to use the prick
point of a needle of the machine, activating the thread trimmer
and correcting the position, if necessary.
15. Apart from the new design possibilities,
what other advantages are achieved?
· Setting appliqué is easy.
· Time is saved in the case of printing stitches.
· The effect of stiffness or lack of flexibility due to
too many stitches is avoided.
· And advantages that are probably yet to be discovered…
16. Is it a long process
from the moment I think about performing a new design until I
actually perform it?
Not at all; in fact, it you are sure about the final design, the
process is fast and intuitive. G
17.
How do I fix transfers so that they don’t move when I place
them in the press?
You can use a temperature-resistant adhesive tape.
18. In the videos shown
I see that you use 2 lasers to align transfers. Is this necessary?
Can I use only 1?
Lasers are necessary to embroider on multihead machines. Based
on the accuracy your designs need, you can choose between 1 and
2.
19. Most of the hoops I use are made of
plastic. Does the heat of the press affect them?
The time used for transfer is short, from 7 to 40 seconds in case
of sublimation; the plastic used to manufacture hoops is polyamide,
and it’s really heat resistant. In all our experience we
have never had any problems caused by heat. GO

FAQ
SCREEN PRINTING TRANSFER – EMBROIDERY
20. Can you explain the main differences
between screen printing transfer and direct screen printing?
It is the same design that, instead of being applied on the garment,
is applied on a transfer paper and is subsequently placed on the
garment with a hot press. Silkscreen transfer is in the process
of expansion because it makes it possible to carry out different
techniques, some of which are even impossible by means of direct
application. Wash-resistance is higher than in direct screen printing
because pressure is added to the normal process. On the other
hand, it enables storage of designs ready to be used at any moment,
and this is a huge advantage in case of repetitions of orders.
Designs that are a mix of screen printing and embroidery are very
vivid, with a few stitches and without a stiffness effect of the
garment.
21. There are commercial silkscreen transfer
catalogs with a great number of classified designs, can I use
them to improve the design by adding stitches to them and get
a better impact?
Sure, it is a very easy way to achieve high impact embroidered
designs.
22. When I place an order to my silkscreen
transfer supplier, should I advise him/her a particular warning?
Infrequently, some suppliers have transfer paper (base) made of
transparent plastic, which facilitates placement under lasers.
In most cases, with opaque transfers, we should remind our supplier
that he be especially careful in the cutting process so that all
transfers are cut with the same margins. If they are unevenly
cut or if we need maximum accuracy, we can manually and unitarily
make 2 holes with the help of a needle on 2 points far from the
design on which we will align the lasers; a worker marks more
than 1,000 transfers per hour.
FAQ
SUBLIMATION
PRINTING – EMBROIDERY
23. Can I perform sublimation without any
problems with a Cosmos machine?
To perform sublimation without any problems, apart from the printer,
we should count on a good hot press capable of high pressure.
Cosmos model applies up to 14,000N, more than the double than
most presses in the market.
24. A piece of advice to have a good color
control on the sublimation printer…
Most embroidery design software enable the use of the color chart
of your habitual thread supplier, assigning colors to your embroidery
files. Following this line of work, you can perform a embroidery
design like a thread color pallet, with the same and written references,
and carry out with it a transfer on a support-fabric that you
will keep for future queries. Thus, it will be easy to see the
differences in colors and correct them previously in the design
of embroidery-printing.
25. My current punching program has the
function of exporting a design (such as a printable image) emulating
the design embroidered in 3D, even reproducing the stitches; does
this function provide any advantage to be applied in designs with
E2TT?
The
reproduction quality of the stitches made by some punching programs
is very high. Take advantage of this feature to fill out big embroidery
surfaces avoiding large productions; apply stitches only on outlines,
texts and certain points. The result is awesome and the time saved,
unbeatable.

FAQs
STRASS
– EMBROIDERY
27. What do strass / rhinestuds / metal
/ caviar applications consist of?
These are different applications of crystals or small metallic
pieces that make up a certain design and are placed on a transfer
paper. With our E2TT press we will be able to easily place and
add embroidery or sequins in an orderly fashion, thus achieving
very strong designs.
